Membership-function-dependent stability analysis and local controller design for T–S fuzzy systems: A space-enveloping approach

چکیده
For Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems, relaxed stability conditions are obtained by more effectively enveloping the trajectory of membership functions (MFs) in a unified space MF. Considering an open-loop T–S system, system premise variables operation domain can be divided into series subdomains. Based on MF extremum calculation technique, MFs values each variable corresponding to subdomain calculated. With these extremes, tight local convex polyhedron is constructed subdomain. Thus, linear matrix inequality (LMI) derived via piecewise Lyapunov function. Then, state-feedback controller designed close loop. From geometric viewpoint, and linear-approximation methods both utilized achieve robustness conditions. Finally, several examples adopted illustrate metrics proposed approaches.

Enhanced Fuzzy Controller for Nonlinear Systems: Membership-Function-Dependent Stability Analysis Approach
Fuzzy-model-based (FMB) control approach provides a systematic and effective way to control nonlinear systems. It has been shown by various applications (Lam et al., 1998; Lian et al., 2006; (b)Tanaka et al., 1998) that FMB control approach performs superior to some traditional control approaches. Based on the T-S fuzzy model (Sugeno & Kang, 1988; Takagi & Sugeno, 1985) the system dynamics of t...
متن کاملMembership Dependent Stability Analysis of TS Fuzzy Controlled Systems using Coupling Attenuation
The use of Linear Matrix Inequalities and Common Quadratic Lyapunov Functions is a powerful and commonplace tool for Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy controlled system analysis and synthesis. However, in practice, few practical and performing results are available when the subsystems exhibit different input matrices, because of the strong coupling between the subsystems/subcontrollers. In this paper, this c...
متن کاملStability Analysis and Controller Design for Dynamic Fuzzy Systems Based on a New Fuzzy Inference Approach
Qualitative modeling of technical processes may be accomplished by dynamic fuzzy systems. A new inference method with interpolating rules is proposed as an essential basis for the analysis of this class of systems. Using this approach, the system output is dependent on both an interpolating rule derived from the fuzzy input and the fuzzy input itself. A simple example shows the typical behavior...
متن کاملMembership-Function-Dependent Stability Analysis and Control Synthesis of Guaranteed Cost Fuzzy-Model-Based Control Systems
This paper focuses on the guaranteed cost stability analysis of fuzzy-model-based (FMB) control systems. Representing the nonlinear plant using a Takagi– Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model, a fuzzy controller is employed to close the feedback loop. A weighted linear quadratic cost function is considered as the cost index to measure the performance of the closed-loop fuzzy system in terms of the system st...
متن کاملLocal stability of discrete-time TS fuzzy systems ⋆
Abstract: This paper considers local stability analysis of discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems, for which classically in the TS literature only global stability is considered. Using a common quadratic and nonquadratic Lyapunov function, respectively, LMI conditions are developed to establish local stability of an equilibrium point. An estimate of the region of attraction of this point is ...
